babysitting

This past week I have been babysitting John and Emily Morrison's kids while they were in Hawaii. I had absolutely no idea how crazy the week would be and how much fun we would all have.

Every day we would wake up, groggily eat our cereal, dress ourselves, brush teeth, comb hair,

retie shoes, race to the car, head to Jen's (the kids stayed there during the day while I went to school and worked), pick the kids back up at night, eat dinner, practice the piano,
(The boys are very good piano players, but I had to remind them a few times that practicing means playing through the songs more than just once and finishing in less than five minutes.)
finished homework,
(one night, McKena had to price different things in the house and then purchase them. She was so smart! She lined each item up from most expensive to the least expensive. Umm...Kade didn't want to miss out on the homework. He wanted to be priced too, so he was the most expensive at ten cents.)
act silly,

play games,

brush teeth, put on pajamas,

read, and go to bed to begin again the next morning. It doesn't sound too difficult, but by the end of the day we were all tired.

We had an interesting experience the first night. I pulled into the garage and realized that we were locked out. Knowing my Aunt Karalee, I thought that they must have a spare key somewhere outside, but we had no luck. Zack and Colin were really excited. They started running around the house yelling at the top of their lungs, "We get to BREAK in to our house!!" However with my mad skills, we didn't need to break in. We were able to safely get in and get to bed.

This past week has definately been a little different from my regular routine, and I am not read to become a mother of four any time soon, but I had a blast this week with those kids.
