Graduation

I'm a Sky View High School Graduate as of Tuesday! Wow! I am done with high school!

Passing of the Torch

On Friday, we had the Passing of the Torch. All of the senior class (or all that came) lit candles and walked around the school. We had speakers, and in the end, we ended up at the football field. There we passed the torch on to the senior class officers for next year. It was kind of sad, but oh well. I just can't believe I'm almost done!

Seminary Graduation

I am finally done with Seminary! My four years are complete. I had to give a talk at the graduation and that was just about the scariest thing I have ever done. Not only that, it turned out to be the longest talk I've had to give, 10 minutes. I'm just glad it's over!

We the People

We the People was a competition that my government class was able to participate in. The competition was held in Washington DC. There are six different units who are asked different questions about the constitution. After giving a prepared speech, we are then questioned for six more minutes by the judges.
Wow! That is an experience that I will never forget! We spent hours preparing to go. Some nights were spent at school until late at night and early in the morning studying (I know! I'm a geek!).
I have never been so scared in my life! The people there were very rich and everything was very ritzy. I felt so out of place. When the judges would introduce themselves, they would say that they were a law professor at some prestegious university, a congressman, or some supreme court justice. And here I was. "I'm Emily Hall and I'm from Lewiston, Utah." Scary!

At the final banquet. There were so many forks I didn't know what to do with them!

Liz and me getting ready for the competition. When I got to Washington, I opened my suitcase to find that my hairspray that I had zipped in a ziplock bag had spilt on my nice new shirts, one of which was a pinstrip that bled onto my other shirt. Needless to say that my shirts were ruined! Anyway after all that stress, a girl in my group let me wear one of hers, even though it was busting at the seams.

Goofing off...it wasn't all work!
